WELCOME TO NKUAS!

North Karelia University of Applied Sciences (NKUAS) is the easternmost University of Applied Sciences in Finland and the European Union. We operate in North Karelia, which is itself the easternmost province of Finland. NKUAS provides education as a part of the European and national system of higher education. Our goal is to produce a high quality and efficient response to the demands of modern working life. NKUAS recognises the opportunities open to well-trained experts in the developing technological, business and cultural environment. In this way, it ensures a firm foundation for the challenges of the future.

North Karelia University of Applied Sciences offers 20 Bachelor level degree programmes and 3 Master degree programmes in 7 fields of study. The degree programmes are confirmed by the Ministry of Education. Two of the bachelor programmes are taught in English:

The students to Degree Programmes taught in English have been selected (application period held in January 2010). Please, find the list of new students here.

Additional Application Period

Additional Application period for the Degree Programme in International Business and Degree Programme in Design starts on 31 May 2010 and ends on 23 July 2010 at 16.15 Finnish time. The entrance examination will be held on 16 August 2010.

Application form is available HERE during the application period. Return the application form and scanned certificates by e-mail to admissions@pkamk.fi at latest 23 July 2010, 16.15 Finnish time.
